Ozark Mountain Region Caves and Caverns

Bull Shoals Caverns - Over 350 million years in the making, this ancient splendor is
one of the world's oldest caverns. On your tour, imagine the lives of ancient peoples
who dwelled in this underground haven, thrill to the beautiful cathedral room,
underground rainbow trout stream, Chapel Falls and a miniature lake.
Hurricane River Cave -
Artifacts and bones discovered in the cave indicate Indians sheltered in this cave
9,000 to 10,000 years ago. Skeletons of prehistoric bears and a saber-toothed tiger,
discovered, deep within the cave, reveal the ancient history of this wild and
beautiful underground treasure. Wild cave tours are available for the physically fit.
Mystic Caverns - Two magnificent caverns feature gigantic formations, richly colored flow stone, cave
popcorn in large underground chambers, eight story high Crystal Dome, 35 foot tall
"Pipe Organ" formation and delicate draperies and soda straws.
Lost Valley - At the end of the beautiful Lost
Valley Trail in the Lost Valley campground, Buffalo National River, hikers discover a
wonderful small cave housing a 35 foot waterfall. Three sources of light and a hard
hat are required of each person entering the cave. Located at Lost Valley
Campground, Hwy 74 west of Ponca, Arkansas.
