Big Bluff Trail / Bull Shoals State Park - Easy with rough tread
The travel traverses the wooded hills below Bull Shoals Dam and winds 1 ½ miles through the
park. Overlooking the White River, the trail offers examples of plant and wildlife
native to the area and views of the river and Bull Shoals Dam. A portion of the
trail is located near a bluff, so be careful to stay on the trail at all times. 1.5
miles through the park. Maps are available at the park office.
Lakeside Trail / Bull Shoals State Park - Easy
This one mile scenic trail has an abundance of wildlife and is located along a cove on
Bull Shoals Lake. The trail offers excellent viewing of spring and fall colors.
Trail Access: Bull Shoals Park 6 miles north of
Mountain Home on Hwy. 5 North, then 7 miles west on Hwy 178.
Dogwood Trail - Easy
1-mile scenic walk along Bull Shoals Lake at Lakeview Recreation Area.
Trail Access: Turn west on Leta Lane (one block north
of Boat Dock Road) off Hwy. 178. Trail begins at end of road.
Gaston's Hiking Trail - Easy
This river side trail begins at world-famous Gaston's Resort at Lakeview. Trail
begins at far east end of the resort and follows along the White River for
1.7 miles.

Big Spring Part Trails - Easy/Moderate
Big Spring Park has two circular 1/2-mile walking trails and a 2-mile trail all along
the banks of the White River.
Steel Creek to Kyles Landing
7.8 miles. Begins at Steel Creek Campgrounds. 1-1/2 miles east on Hwy. 74 from
intersection of Hwys. 74 and 43. The path follows Fisher Point Ridge and Kilgore
Mountain, with fine views that include Big Bluff and Beech Creek.
Norfork Lake Area
Robinson Point Trail - Moderate / Strenuous
This 3 1/3 mile scenic trail follows the shores and bluffs of Norfork Lake. Your
camera should be required equipment, for you will likely want to capture scenes of
wildflowers, fall foliage, and breathtaking views of the Ozark Mountains and Lake
Norfork. The end of the trail is a short loop atop Robinson Point, a high bluff
overlooking one of the largest sections of Lake Norfork. The hike takes around 3 ½
hours to complete.
Trail Access: 9 miles east of Mountain Home on U.S.
62, then 2 1/1 miles south on paved access road the trail begins at the sign near the
entrance gate of Robinson Point Park.
